The New York Attorney General’s office has established a new set of guidelines for renewable energy development in the state of New York. ACCIONA supports this measure in full and endorsed by signing. At ACCIONA, we develop each of our renewable energy projects with transparency, sustainability and responsibility throughout. We applaud the state of New York’s support of the renewable energy industry and its formal efforts to ensure transparency and accountability across the board. Our company is global, but our developments are local and we take pride in protecting the natural environment and providing long-term, sustainable benefits to the communities in which we work. A set of guidelines under which a state allows development is nothing new, and in fact such guidelines exist for any number of industries. These guidelines ensure that all parties are on the same page and know what to expect. The guidelines outlined in NY actually don’t change the way we do business at ACCIONA – we work hard to be as transparent as possible and embrace the community in which we work, so we’re happy to see a formalizing of the process under which we already operate.
